Brady Bunch hosts Trivial Pursuit?
Christopher Knight, who played Peter in The Brady Bunch, is being tapped to host Trivial Pursuit: America Plays. Production for the show begins this week, and is based on the iconic 80′s Hasbro board game. A version of Trivial Pursuit hosted by Wink Martindale aired on the Family Channel from 1993 to 1995, but was eventually cancelled due to low ratings. Christopher Knight has enjoyed a recent resurgence in popularity because of a series of television appearances on reality shows and sitcoms. Knight was the co-star of a show entitled “My Fair Brady” about him and his wife possibly getting pregnant. He was also one of the major characters in the hit reality TV-show “Surreal Life”, where he actually met his aforementioned wife. Of course, Christopher Knight has appeared on other shows–including brief appearances on “Dirt” and “That 70s Show”. The show will likely feature a few Brady Bunch jokes too though:
“Chris is a charming, personable guy people really like, and we think people will tune in to see him because he is a brand,” said Lonnie Burstein, senior VP of programming for Debmar-Mercury. “I’m sure we’ll do some ‘Brady’ type things along the way to take advantage of that.”
